Process: 10/19 ~ 10/26

For this week I tried to make Session 4 work D^:

I've never dealt with 3D objects in Gamemaker before so I researched online and I almost gave up the idea of 3D objects. I asked Adrian about this and he sent me an article that he found online about using sprite stacking to create an illusion of 3D in Gamemaker, the author of the article used magicavoxel to create objects and sliced them into a lot of pieces and adjusted image angles and positions to create revolving 3D objects. It was exactly what I needed.

I first found some objects in the room that I created and create their "counterparts" in a pixel style ( suggesting that the reality in P.M. is mixed and an urge to escape to a virtual world".

Then I realized these were actually the easiest parts of Session 4.

I spent a lot of time trying to make 3D objects work correctly in the room, and there were always bugs after bugs. I was debugging almost everyday. I feel like there should be a more effective way to do this, but after online searches I found no help. I sent an email to my professor from last semester's game dev class yesterday and hope he can help me some parts that I'm unclear about.

At this point, I feel I have achieved the effect that I wanted in Session 4 ( it scares me every time I go through it.........), however I will still add more audio and maybe new 3D objects in.

Here is the screen capture of Session 4 currently: (I have shorten the time before parents open door just for this demo..
